DESPERATELY SEEKING THE BUMPUS HOUNDS

Several weeks back, during the Christmas season, my brother Napoleon mentioned how I had once made a reference in a Blog Bit to the Bumpus Hounds from the movie 'A Christmas Story.' He remembered that he had found the reference humorous and asked me where it was. I too recalled making a remark about those famous dogs but I couldn't recall in which Blog Bit I'd placed it.

So, I did a Google search hoping to find it for Nappy but my search was unsuccessful. Well, for some completely inexplicable reason, I woke up this morning with a mind determined to find that Bumpus Hounds reference. I went to Google again, did an 'Advanced Search' and found it quicker than you can say "Uhp! Yer an idiot!"

Naturally, I read the entire post which, as it turned out, was written just before Thanksgiving in 2008. I then read the next Blog Bit as well, and thought to myself: Hey, you! Those weren't too bad. Kinda funny in a sick, disturbed, twisted, tongue-in-cheek, Black Comedy sort of way.

I noticed that these two posts seemed to have gone pretty unnoticed (notice how I've used the word "notice" four times in this one sentence? Think you can do that?) Then I checked and noticed that I hadn't included either of these two Blog Bits in my year-end "STUFFS' Greatest Hits" compilation page. So, I've decided to post links to them here; a little look back at some overlooked stuffs that looked like they were worth another look (that's the word "look" five - count 'em, 5 - times in one sentence! Looks like I'm improving.)

So, anyway, here are links to a couple of old installments that some of ya newer readers might enjoy. What sick, disturbed, twisted, tongue-in-cheek, Black Comedy-lovin' Tiny Tim fan wouldn't?
